Tips for care:

  • Keep away from ripening fruit, which produces ethylene gas – not only this will discolor the flowers but also shorten the vase life of Cymbidium considerably

  • sensitive to temperature fluctuations
  • sensitive to dehydration, do not leave dry
  • for arrangements, use in tubes and store upright
  • check the water level in the tubes regularly
  • for bouquets, cut ends obliquely and stand in clean water
  • optimal storage temperature 46 to 53 F. Do not keep in the cold store
  • Avoid touching the centre of the actual flower (to avoid pollinating the flower, which causes it to wilt rapidly)
  • Sprays that have started to droop should be wrapped in plastic under conditions of high humidity and allowed to drink their fill of water
