· Advise your customers to change the water every two or three days.
· Cut a piece off the stems before processing the flowers.
· Always place the flowers in clean containers with fresh water containing a bacterial growth inhibitor (Cut flower food such as Chrysal RVB or Rosal).
· Ensure no leaves are left hanging in the water.
· Always give the customer a sachet of cut flower food with their purchase.
In the home:

· Diagonally cut a portion off the end of each stem and remove any leaves that might hang in the water.
· Leave the flowers wrapped for a few hours to ensure good hydration.
· Add cut flower food to the water in the vase.
· Change the water in the vase every two or three days.
