Exploding colors, flowers in a branded bag, 'ton sur ton' floral designs… keep everything colorful, fresh and new this spring, says Rudi Tuinman, Dutch floral stylist and co-owner of Holland's '2Dezign' floral marketing and design agency.

"Spring is the season of bright, 'exploding' colors: reds, oranges, yellows, greens… tempered with whites. Fresh floral arrangements that exude simplicity yet also sophistication. Whites and greens blended with yellow flowers, reflecting the sun and earth. Or visually amazing 'ton sur ton' color schemes: different shades of one color, like bright-brighter-brightest pink flowers mixed together, showing just how amazingly beautiful and powerful one color's spectrum can be!"

Fresh
"Tulips, Ranunculus, Anemones, Hydrangea, Hyacinth… all super spring flowers. I especially love simple yet powerful bunches of tulips, simply wrapped, decorative yet pure - very fresh and very fashionable! Or an exciting spring flower mix with lots of green: very mixed, very bright! Ivy is a lovely spring bouquet filler, as is Asparagus, which is so elegant. Or salal – apple leaf. All perfect for adding that extra touch of green, green spring to arrangements and bouquets!"

Ready-made
"Spring is the happening time for special events, from weddings and school graduations, to Easter and Mother's Day. With so many different events and so many different types of customers, be prepared with some pretty, ready-made floral arrangements: finished products people can buy, give and display right away, without having to do any messy cutting or trimming work. This spring let's make buying and giving flowers as easy as buying and giving wine or chocolate!"

Accessorize
"Flowers in a branded bag – try it! It not only looks cool and unique, but it's also a great way to promote your business or brand. Just like the fashion store branded bags we carry around with us, except our tastefully designed cloth bags have beautiful floral arrangements inside, their brightly-colored heads peeking provocatively over the top! Or offer your flowers in eye-catching, transparent, your-branded 'blister' boxes. Dare to be different. Dare to offer your products in fresh and new ways!

Trendy
"This spring set your sights on a new target group: the people who traditionally don't buy so many flowers, the younger generation, the 20- and 30-somethings. There's intense competition for this 'young dollar' and flowers too often get lost in the crush! These are the trendy people, those who are acutely brand conscious, so appeal to this feeling in them by offering exclusive European-labeled products: 'Flowers from Europe' or 'Flowers from Holland', in your hip, branded bags… tres chic!"
