They were the independent judges’ unanimous choice for National Flower Shop of the Year.  They are also the top scoring Interflora florist making them Interflora Flower Shop of the Year 2007 too.

Diana Kaye competed along with the other 5 platinum winners for this accolade over 3 rounds showing their skills and expertise in four areas of business:

o Retail planning
o Sales & marketing initiatives
o Business development
o Improving profitability

Having reached Platinum status along with Flower & Plant Works (Runcorn), Beehive Florists (Chelmsford), Sarah Horne Flowers (Leamington Spa) and Love Lily (Abergavenny) their complete entries were assessed by an independent panel of judges, namely

o Andrea Caldecourt, Chief Executive, Flowers & Plants
  Association 
o Stephen Short, MD, Oasis
o Andrew Hey, General Manager, Chrysal UK

Diana Kaye collected a cheque for £5,000 to invest in their business from Flower Council Area Manager, Iain Thompson at the ceremony.

“This will give us the most amazing start to the year.” Diana said.  “The motivation and atmosphere amongst the team is just brilliant.  Taking part gave us a whole new outlook on the business and we can’t wait to develop the shop further in 2008.”

Another double whammy
Hot on their heels as runners up and also claiming the Independent Flower Shop of the Year Award were Flower and Plant Works of Runcorn.

“I’m still so excited,” exclaimed Amanda Canning who said that she and her sister and partner, Barbara Monks had been writing their wish list of how to spend the £1,000 they have been awarded to invest in their business.

Highest scoring Teleflorist shop, Beautiful Flowers of Worcester, was awarded Teleflorist Flower Shop of the Year 2007.
