Run in partnership with OASIS® Floral Products the overall aim is quite simply to build more successful, more profitable businesses. And we know it works.
All florists will get innovative and practical tips on key areas – shop presentation and display, customer service, business planning and management. You will be judged over 3 rounds using a combination of questionnaires, mystery shopper and mystery telephone calls.
Success at each level will result in a Silver, Gold or Platinum Award of Excellence. Point of sale packs reflecting your achievement will ensure you get the message across to your customers.
The overall National Champion – the Irish Flower Shop of the Year - will win €5000 of business support – imagine where you could take your business with that!

Conditions of Entry
Only retail florists with a shop in Ireland or Northern Ireland are eligible to enter. Freelance designers and florists who work from home are not eligible
Round 1 questionnaires must be returned by 16th May 2008
The Awards will be judged over 3 rounds. No correspondence will be entered into and the judges’ decision will be final. All entrants will be deemed to have agreed and to be bound by the rules and instructions of the awards
Entrants must co-operate with the judging procedure and all resulting publicity
No responsibility will be accepted for loss, delayed, mislaid or damaged entries. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Entries which are illegible or not in accordance with the entry requirements will be disqualified. Entries will automatically become the property of the Flower Council of Holland and photographs will only be returned if a SAE is enclosed
* The prize fund of either €5000 or £3500 will be determined by the Flower Council of Holland in consultation with the winner. A cash alternative is not available. The prize fund will be in the form of business advice, consultancy and training and will be agreed with the winner
CLOSING DATE FOR ROUND ONE ENTRIES IS 16th May 2008
