Valentine's Day Bouquet: Because you're worth it! < back

The different shades of red Amaryllis are so beautiful together.  And, you can make it as big as you want.  Put it with a vase – not usually expected with a Valentine’s bouquet – and it becomes the perfect trendy gift.”  Says Miranda.

 What you need:  
  • Amaryllis ‘Liberty’
  • Amaryllis ‘Royal Velvet’
  • Amaryllis ‘Naranja’
  • Amaryllis ‘Red Lion’
  • Aspidistra leaves
  • Decorative fabric hearts
  • Waterproof tape
  • Binding material
  • Glitter hearts
  • Stub wire 1.2
  • Wooden chopsticks to put into the hollow stem of the
  • Amaryllis to give it more support
  • Cold glue
  • Shallow square red/pink container
 
Step 1:
  • Make a spiral bouquet from the Amaryllis
  • Make sure to divide the colors
  • Bind just under the heads so that the stems splay out
  • Insert chop/Mikado sticks into the hollow stems of the Amaryllis so that they do not bend or snap and can support the heavy flowers 
 
 Step 2:
  • Tear the Aspidistra leaves length-ways and make a knot with the two ends
 
 Step 3:
  • Cut the stem of the Aspidistra leaves
  • Bind them onto the same binding point as the Amaryllis stems 
 
 Step 4:
  • Stick a stub wire to a piece of tape, back and front
  • Glue the hearts onto the taped wire in an attractive pattern
  • Add the hearts to the same binding point as before and secure  
     
Step 5:
  • Cut Amaryllis stems to same length so that bouquet stands in dish
