| Wrapped up warm | < back |
| Roses, and other flowers, can be wrapped up warm for winter with a collar of natural materials such as leaves and cotton. |
| Step 1
Collect the materials: Rosa Marrakesh! (27156), Aspidistra elatior (3912), Anthurium clarinervium (11257), Gossypium hirsutu (199), Eucalyptus populifolia (27052), florists wire, pins and tonkin sticks.
| Step 2
Wrap the flower heads with Aspidistra leaf and fix in place with the pins. Cut off excess leaf. Glue the cotton balls (insert) to the sticks.
| Step 3
Wire the Anthurium leaves, taking the wire to the end of the main vein. Bend the leaves inwards.
| Step 4
Make a hand tied bouquet with the wrapped roses, the cotton balls glued to the sticks and the Anthurium leaves. | ![]() |
| The final result
Combine the brown-red Marrakesh! with brown wrapping paper for an extra warm effect. Stand the bouquet in a circle of – yes indeed - brown poplar twigs. | ![]() |
