A Campanula has white or blue flowers – a fact everyone has always known. Consequently the launch of the first bicoloured Campanula last year caused open mouthed astonishment, something that has not been without effect on the buying public. In just one year no less than 68,000 plants have been sold and the plant has shot into the Campanula Top Ten.

A number of factors are responsible for the success of Campanula ‘Starina Bicolor Star’, starting with the colour of the flower. The base colour is sky blue with a white centre that makes the star shaped flowers shine even brighter. In addition the plant has a compact, spherical growth habit and flowers both lavishly and long -  until well into autumn. In short, the plant is great value for money. An added bonus is the fact that the plant is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and is fully hardy.

Campanula ‘Starina Bicolor Star’ (vbn code 27935) is available from the Dutch flower auctions from March until the end of August. The product is supplied in 10.5 and 12 cm pots.
