Alstroemerias have a hard time at the point of sale because their beauty is well hidden when they are still in bud. For this reason it makes sense to display a few sprays of Alstroemeria with the flowers already open to allow customers to discover and appreciate their good looks. It is a good idea to choose a cultivar from the Giant series for this purpose such as Hawaiian Dream.

In terms of colour and size these can easily compete with even the prettiest of roses. Fully open the flowers have a diameter of no less than 9 cm. Another advantage is that Alstroemeria has a vase life at least equal to that of a really good rose. However, Hawaiian Dream has even more to offer than king size flowers, it also has fresh colours and strong, firm stems.

Since its introduction in May 2007 0.4 million stems of Alstroemeria Hawaiian Dream (vbn product code 100581) have been sold. In the meantime the supply has increased from 20,000 to more than 70,000 stems per month, making the availability so much better.
