l
earn, know, create
The first part, LEARN, deals with the basics of colour, including the theory of colour by Johannes Itten. The two most important elements of this theory are the colour circle and colour contrasts. The universal meaning of colour, colour graduation and warm and cold colours are all explained.
Test your knowledge
The theory lessons are concluded with a QUIZ. This will help you check out what you have learned about colour. You can recap on the theory lessons and do the QUIZ again or, if you prefer, move on to the creative part of ColourExperience.
Working with colour
CREATE uses exercises to help you create your own bouquet. You use the colours in a colour chart to make your bouquet and can then compare your proposal with a bouquet made by our arranger.
The exercises can be carried out using your own judgement, but based on the theory of colour. The suggestions made by our arranger may help and inspire you. As you complete the exercises you will also find recommendations for creating arrangements.
Create your own exercise
In addition to the five set exercises, there is room for an exercise of your own. Get together with your colleagues to draw up an exercise and then carry it out. Compare the bouquets you have each made. The colour schemes can be printed and/or saved and there is no end to the number of exercises you can formulate and carry out.
Cooperation
Designer Petra van der Veen created the bouquets used in ColourExperience.
